Ancestral Tableau Explained

In order to understand how to use the Ancestral Tableau to increase your Combat Rating by a couple thousands and use the new Ancestral Properties to increase your Damage by 15% first we need to understand the Ancestral Tableau.

The Ancestral Tableau has been Updated and now it’s easier for players to get all the bonuses from the Table. All you have to do is join a Warband to furthermore increase your stats and unlock extra buffs to use in both PvP (player vs. player) and PvE (player vs. enemy) related activities.

New: Now if you are behind with your Ancestral Tableau level you will receive Bonus Multiplier up to 500% to help catch up.

Everything you need to know

Your Ancestral Tableau can be found under Resonance and Helliquary.

Once you have joined a Warband you can Enshrine (a.k.a. equip) up to 8 Ancestral Weapons from the Warband Stash. Each member of the Warband have their own unique Ancestral Tableau.

You need to equip an Ancestral Weapon in the Ancestral Tableau to activate its Ancestral Property. The 4 Ancestral Weapons with the highest bonus attributes determine the Max Bonus of your Ancestral Tableau. *You cannot Enshrine equipment that has been Reforged, Awakened or Inherited with essence.

To Upgrade your Current Bonus and increase your Combat Rating as a result, you need “Warband Activity“ points which can be found in many activities like: Warband Helliquary Raids, Defense of Cyrangar, Purge the Depths etc.

Look after “Warband Activity” Icon in the Codex to see which activities increase your Warband Activity Points.

You can acquire 1000 points of Warband Activity per week and store a maximum of 1500 points. *Keep in mind that from 1000 top 1500 points you get only 20% of the total points.

Ancestral Weapons Explained

Ancestral Weapons are special pieces of equipment that hold an Ancestral Property. They are different than the normal weapons and can be distinguished by the specially designed background that is visible around the weapon itself. Only Ancestral Weapons can be Enshrined (a.k.a. equipped) in the Ancestral Tableau.

Same as any other piece of equipment Ancestral Weapons can be dropped everywhere in the game and their Ancestral Property is randomised when Identified. Another thing I want to mention is that Ancestral Weapons can also be found at the Rarities & Antiquities NPC with enough luck by buying the Random Weapons.

Ancestral Property and Invocations

Ancestral Properties are the buffs you unlock upon equipping Ancestral Weapons into the Ancestral Tableau.

Click on every weapon to choose between different Ancestral Property buffs. In order to be able to choose your own Ancestral Property you need to have an Ancestral Weapon Enshrined.

To change your Ancestral Property all you have to do is click the small symbol next to your buff and then click another weapon in the Tableau.

Ancestral Property can only be triggered by Invocations and it can be used in both PvP (player vs. player) and PvE (player vs. enemy) related activities.

Invocations and how to Equip them

Invocation is an extra stat that can now be found on items and without it you cannot proc the Ancestral Property you have selected in the Ancestral Tableau. Items with Invocation can be dropped everywhere in the game and their Invocation is randomised when Identified. One extra thing to keep in mind is that Weapons can have an Invocation or an Ancestral Property and these are not 100% drop rate.

You can have multiple different Invocations equipped at once.

All your invocations show up in your Ancestral Menu that can be found next to Cursed Properties menu.

Your equipped Invocation will determine the method and how often you will be able to proc your Ancestral Property. When multiple items have the same Invocation, chance to trigger is increased and cooldown time is decreased.

You cannot essence transfer your Invocations. You will need to replace all of your current Legendary Gear if you wish to be as strong as possible with Invocation and when you replace the gear it needs to be an upgrade.
