Diablo 4 Upcoming Updates - Blizzard Announcement Blizzcon 2023
On November 3, Diablo general manager Rod Ferguson and production directors Tiffany Wat and Chris Wilson took the stage at BlizzCon’s opening ceremony and talked about the future of Diablo 4.
Some of the upcoming updates will be Live as soon as 7th November 2023.

Vessel of Hatred Expansion
Vessel of Hatred continues the story in Diablo 4 teaching us more about the prime evil Mephisto and his plans for the Sanctuary.
A new Region will be available to visit, Nahantu alongside new Campaign Story and a brand-new Class in the Diablo universe.
Vessel of Hatred will be released late next year in 2024, more information about it will be published next summer.
Season 3
The Gauntlet
In Season 3 a new type of weekly challenge Dungeon called The Gauntlet will be added to Diablo 4.
The new Weekly Challenge - The Gauntlet is a fixed non-linear Dungeon where player skill and mastery is needed to achieve the best scores.
Every time you enter The Gauntlet everything is going to be the same, the enemies, the affixes and the layout.
The Gauntlet and Leaderboards resets weekly. With each week’s Leaderboard reset, fixed layout of The Gauntlet changes as well.
Requirements
To enter the Gauntlet you need to reach World Tier 4 and play in the Seasonal Realm.
The Gauntlet can be played Solo or in Parties and The best scores will appear on the Leaderboards.
Gameplay
In the Gauntlet you will fight enemies against the clock. To maximise your score you need to collect as many Proof of Mights as possible.
Proof of Might drops from defeating enemies and destroying items within the Gauntlet.
Rewards
Loot will drop at the end of the timer.
Getting higher scores will reward you with Seals and Frames to show off on your Character profile.
Not only that, but players can compete for their Class ranking against anyone in the world. At the end of each week, the highest rank will have their name highlighted in the Seasonal Hall of the Ancients forever.
Leaderboards
In the photo above you can see an image of the Solo Barbarian Ladder.
This content is in development and some things might change by the time it gets to Season 3.
Leaderboards can be filtered by region, Globally etc., by platforms, and by socials such as Clan and friends.
There are Solo, Party, Hardcore and Class related Leaderboards.
Getting higher scores in the Gauntlet will reward you with Seals and Frames to show off on your Character profile.

5 New Uniques: Malignant Rings
Starting from 7th November 5 new Unique, class-specific Rings will be introduced to the game.
These new Unique Rings will let you tap into some of the most popular powers from Season of the Malignant. And will be available in both Seasonal and Eternal realms.

New Dungeon - Abbatoir of Zir
Starting from December 5 to January 23
Abattoir of Zir is a new, highly replayable six-week end-game event experience designed for players who have reached Level 100, slain Uber Duriel, and completed their endgame.
The flow chart below will highlight exactly how the whole system works.
How to Unlock
After you complete the final step of the Season Journey you will receive a Recipe to Create the Bloodforged Sigil for Tier 01.
Completing each Tier unlocks the recipe for the next Tier.
There are 25 Tiers of Abbatoir of Zir, with each Tier being much more difficult than the tier before.
Requirements
The Abattoir of Zir becomes available to players who have completed the final tier of the Seasonal Journey.
Gameplay
Abattoir of Zir is the ultimate pinnacle Uber Dungeon challenge.
Rewards
New Uber Paragon Glyphs that can be level up to 200 times.
Increased Paragon Glyph Experience.
All rewards earned in the Abattoir of Zir last until the end of Season of Blood.

Midwinter Blight - Holiday Event
“Ever wonder what the holidays are like in Sanctuary? Well, now you can find out in the first seasonal event, Midwinter Blight. Trudge through the snow-laden, winter terror-land of Fractured Peaks, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a mysterious, red-cloaked terror!”
Starts on December 12 and lasts for three weeks.
The event starts in Kyovashad’s Hibernal Square where you are going to meet Gillian the Wandering Bard.
Fight sinister snowmen and their boss the Red Cloaked Horror to receive resources used to progress in the event. Restoring the Midwinter Square will reward players with festive rewards such as a selection of weapons and back trophies.
More details on Midwinter Blight will be revealed later as we approach the Christmas Holidays.
Itemisation Endgame Changes
Legendary Aspects will be remove from Inventory and added to the Codex of Power.
Last on the list is the Occultist Update: Affix Preview.
Starting from December 5th, you can preview the Enchanting Menu at the Occultist in Diablo 4. This will allow players to see what affixes are available for that item before spending the gold to re-roll.
