Complete Diablo Immortal Hidden Lair Guide and Locations

What are Hidden Lairs and what do they give?

Hidden Lairs are randomly spawned 2-Floor based dungeons that players can get into from the Overworld Map. You get rewards both for completing them and the Objectives inside (3 quests per floor). The main rewards you can get are Gems, Experience and Legendary Items.

You can now collect up to 9 Bound Normal Gems from Bonus Objectives and 9 Unbound Normal Gems from Hidden Lair Guardians (maximum of 6 per Hidden Lair). If you are in a rush or you want to optimise your in-game time just follow the 3 objectives on each floor to get your gems. Hidden Lairs can be done solo or in parties.

The chances of finding gems will decrease with each subsequent Hidden Lair run, with the first 2 Hidden Lairs being the most efficient. The rewards section of the Hidden Lair entrance menu has been updated to indicate how to collect Bound and Unbound Normal Gems from within the Hidden Lair. The rewards will grey out once you have reached your Normal Gem allotment each day, so you can easily track if gem rewards are available before entering a Hidden Lair.

How to find Hidden Lairs in Diablo Immortal

The system has also been improved to help you locate Hidden Lairs after they have spawned —when you start getting close to an open Hidden Lair, you will receive additional prompts and mini map indicators to guide you in the right direction.

Developer’s Note: We recognize Normal Gems are rather scarce. To help alleviate this, we are providing additional ways to obtain both Bound and Unbound Normal Gems. The goal is to provide more Normal Gems that can potentially be sold in Wynton’s Grand Market. By placing them inside Hidden Lairs, we achieve that goal while increasing the replayability of Hidden Lairs and Wilderness exploration that results from searching for them. The change to make Hidden Lairs spawn more dynamically based on server population is aimed at normalizing the supply in the market across servers of all sizes. As a product of these changes, we hope to see Normal Gems change hands through the market on an increased and consistent basis.

A hidden lair has opened in this zone.“ You might have seen this notification pop up at various points whilst playing Diablo Immortal, but if you’ve only just started playing you might not know what it means. Players can find Hidden Lairs by searching specific structures in exact locations when the message appears, usually indicated by a glowing light from within and a blue portal icon on the mini-map, and can be interacted with to enter the dungeon. Once the Hidden Lair pop up appears on the screen, you have a 10-minute timer before it disappears.

All potential Hidden Lairs in Diablo Immortal are represented by the same building in each zone. For example, all Hidden Lairs in Ashwold Cemetery are identical Mausoleums, and when one of them is glowing, you know it's open and ready for plundering.

Once you get close to one, interact with it to see a sign like "Underground Lair" or "Timelost lair" or some other variation. Then confirm and you'll go into a lobby for the lair itself.
