Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.3 will add one of the most awaited Character to the roster Firefly a.k.a. Sam, new endgame and more:

New Characters: Firefly/Sam and Jade

New Permanent Game Mode: Apocalyptic Shadow

The new endgame Apocalyptic Shadow, will be available for Trailblazers to play in Version 2.3.

What we know:

1: Gameplay —“Face powerful foes, earn points, and win rewards! In Apocalyptic Shadow, Trailblazers must face materializations of the Finality and defeat bosses they have faced before. These formidable foe materializations will have slight differences between them and regular Enemy Bosses. Trailblazers can check out the details by reading about the enemies' traits when the battle begins. We hope that Apocalyptic Shadow will bring new combat strategies and richer gameplay experiences to Trailblazers.

2. Rewards —”Mind your team setup and combat strategy, defeat formidable foes, earn high scores, and obtain your rewards! Obtain up to 720 Stellar Jades in each phase of Apocalyptic Shadow!”

Please find the schedule rotation below to help you plan ahead and build your characters accordingly.

Two weeks after Apocalyptic Shadow is updated, a new Pure Fiction phase will commence. Then, after another two weeks of Pure Fiction, a new Memory of Chaos phase will begin. Each regular game mode period will continue to last for six weeks.

Simulated Universe Major Update

In Version 2.3, the Simulated Universe will receive a couple of changes one of which is called "Divergent Universe".

What we know:

1: Gameplay —The new "Divergent Universe" will overhaul the gameplay. There will be more combinations between Blessings, and Curios will also gain more unique effects.

Dev note: “We hope Trailblazers will experience more strategic flexibility when they engage in this new game mode. Regardless of whether you are a frequent player of the current Simulated Universe, all Trailblazers can participate in this update's Divergent Universe with ease. The Divergent Universe will also become a major research focus in the future for the Simulated Universe.

The current Simulated Universe will remain the same. Trailblazers can still play the game, earn points, and obtain Planar Onaments, and farm upgrade materials.

2: Rapid Planar Ornament Procurement Function Available —In Divergent Universe, the all-new Planar Ornament Quick-Claim function will be made available. After clearing Divergent Universe, Trailblazers can enter the Curios and Blessings they obtained in this run into a Save File. The Save File will be reset each week. Trailblazers can directly challenge different Boss Enemies using their Save File and obtain the corresponding Planar Ornaments.

3. New Divergent Universe Rewards —Divergent Universe also has its own unique rewards. Completing Divergent Universe allows Trailblazers to collect various leveling materials and Stellar Jades! Clearing Divergent Universe will also net you weekly points for the current Simulated Universe and let you claim rewards.

4. Restart a challenge with a single button —to avoid suffering from unexpected mishaps during your gameplay a new "Restart Challenge" option will be added to the Divergent Universe. When Trailblazers select "Restart Challenge" in the Divergent Universe, they will restart the current battle. Previously triggered Techniques will also take effect once more.

Team Setup Function Optimization

Optimizations to the Team Setup system in Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction, and Forgotten Hall: Memory of Chaos will be made.

Trailblazers can set up their teams in advance. When playing the above game modes, the system will allow them to quickly bring their preset teams and enter the game directly. Additionally, a new function will allow Trailblazers to drag-and-drop characters already selected for Node 1 and Node 2 to quickly adjust the characters' team position and overall team setup.

Consult Your Friends' Ideas Behind Their Team Lineup

After the Version 2.2 update, other new features will be added to the game where Trailblazers can view the team setups their Friends used to clear Pure Fiction and Forgotten Hall: Memory of Chaos.

In future updates, Trailblazers will be able to view the key stats, Relics, and Light Cones the characters in their friends' teams were using. This way the new Systems can be used to help players in case they need help and they run out of ieads on how to challenge certain game modes.
